 The LightSpider is
an innovative fiber optic cable system that requires only a
single fiber cable for HDMI audio and video, analog (stereo) audio, RS232 serial data, and
infrared signals. It can carry all these signals up to 1,000
feet (305 meters) bit-perfect with no distortions or degradation
of the signal. Ideal for commercial application and long
run residential installations, the LightSpider offers
reliability and peace of mind that just can't be achieved with
other cabling solutions like copper or CAT5. The fiber
optic cables can be purchased as pre-terminated LC type
connections or special ordered as metal-wrapped or weather
resistant outdoor types that meet construction requirements.
The LightSpider
is able to communicate all of these signals over a single strand
of either 62.5/125 micron or 50/125 micron multimode fiber
cable to
achieve full HD with HDCP encryption and EDID communications.
The LightSpider can be used with HDMI to DVI adapters when DVI
solution is required (no HDMI audio).
