JVC DLA-RS1 1080P LCOS Front Projector

JVC's DLA-RS1 is the latest LCOS projector using three panel 1920 x 1080p with improved contrast ratio using improved optics without the use of Dynamic Iris, resulting in rock stable image that offers black blacks without sacrificing other picture aspects.  The native 15,000:1 contrast ratio in hand with higher than normal lumens is immediately visible.  This extremely sought after projector has won the approval of the home theater enthusiast community with sharp 1080p picture and color fidelity.  Best of all, the price of entry into the ultimate home theater with the JVC has been lowered to affordable range of what many are used to in the 720p range.  Expect the DLA-RS1 to make a splash in February when the unit is estimated to be released in the marketplace.

The DLA-RS1 incorporates JVC's renowned D-ILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier) chip technology in a 3 panel design that is impervious to DLP's  "rainbow" effects. Each of the three D-ILA chips has a native resolution of 1920x1080 with support for 1:1 pixel perfect image quality.  For sources that output less than the native image resolution, The DLA-RS1 uses Gennum's broadcast quality VXP scaling engine for spectacular image from older NTSC sources.  

The DLA-RS1 can be used is flexible enough for variety of room environments.  Horizontal shift lens is adjustable 80% vertical and 34% horizontal, the manual manual zoom lens has a range of 1.4:1 ∼ 2.8:1, ideal for home theater screens up to 200 inches wide. 

The DLA-RS1 is equipped features HDMI input that supports full HD 1080p signals available from Blu Ray and HD-DVD players, as well as component and SD analog inputs and RS-232 control port for external automation controls.
