Canon
SX60 1400x1050 LCOS Front Projector

Canon surprised the Home Theater market
with introduction of affordable LCOS projector last
year. While it was heralded for affordability in the
still infant LCOS market, a few glaring omissions in the design
was noted. Canon now returns with the SX60 to address
such features as HDCP compliance, quieter performance, and better
airflow design. The icing on the cake is the new specs, 2500
Lumens with 2000:1 contrast ratio in cinema mode, catapulting Canon high into the
spotlight along side the most popular home theater projectors on the
market. The SX60 is ideal
for customers with less than ideal light controlled environment, larger than typical screen sizes, or those who appreciate the
punch and vibrancy of a bright image.
The
SX60 features new, advanced AISYS technology - with improved light
efficiency, uniformity, and expanded color space. Its 1.7x
Ultra-Wide Powered Zoom Lens with Autofocus gives you the
flexibility of the widest zoom range of any of Canon's projector
lenses. Its super quiet (27dB) operation makes it great for the
classroom and home cinema. And, its DVI-I terminal lets you
project high quality video from satellite and digital cable boxes,
as well as DVD players.
Key Features:
The
Image Sharpness of SXGA+
Razor-sharp
images are yours with Canon's new Realis SX60 projector gives you the stunning
crispness of 1400 x 1050 lines of resolution, beyond the typical
XGA projectors.
The
SX60 lets you display true 16:9 high definition
broadcast images without compression at true HDTV resolution of
1280x720 or 1400x788.
The
Image Sharpness And Brightness of LCOS Technology
LCOS - or
Liquid Crystal On Silicon - has taken projectors to a whole new
level. This new technology means higher resolution images,
seamless images with no flickering or "screen door"
effect, quick image response for better looking moving images, and
better display of text.
Only Canon
realizes the full potential of LCOS technology by combining it
with our proprietary AISYS Engine, our patented optical light
engine for achieving brightness and high contrast using LCOS
panels. It is this combination that makes the Realis SX60 a
projector like no other.
AISYS
- The Heart Of The SX60
Behind
the crisp, bright images of the Realis SX60 is the heart of the
projector: Canon's exclusive AISYS technology. While other
projectors come with LCOS technology, only Canon combines LCOS
with its innovative, breakthrough AISYS illumination technology.
Only AISYS achieves the right balance of contrast, brightness and
compact size to maximize the performance of LCOS. The result is an
exceptionally bright, sharp image from an affordable, portable
SXGA+ projector.
The
Canon Optical Quality And Versatility You'd Expect
Project
a positive image with Genuine Canon Optics. As with every camera
or projector that Canon makes, the Realis SX60 comes with optics
of unparalleled excellence that give you a bright, crisp, clear
image with no flare or distortion.
The 1.7x
Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens also lets you project in a variety of
settings. It gives you a 40" screen from a very short 3.9',
all the way to a 100" screen from 9.8'. And if that's not
enough, the Digital Zoom feature gives you an additional zoom
range of .5X to 12X. It's the perfect blend of quality and
versatility.
A
Mode for Any Image
Whether
you're projecting a detailed technical presentation, images from
your digital camera, or your favorite movie, the Realis SX60 gives
you the best picture possible.
You can select
between four image modes, each one designed for a different type
of projection:
-
Standard
mode gives you images closely resembling the original, with
an emphasis on white areas
-
Presentation
mode increases contrast between bright and dark areas,
making it easier to see detailed diagrams and text
-
sRGB mode is
optimized for sRGB images, which includes those produced by
many digital cameras
-
Cinema mode
emphasizes gradation to produce realistic depth and
dimension - the best way to watch your favorite movie
or home video
You can also
create custom settings by adjusting 7 different aspects -
brightness, contrast, sharpness, gamma, and more - for each
of the four image modes. That means 27 different custom image
modes, and that means a perfect picture, no matter what you're
viewing.
Complete
Color Control
Your
projection screen is your canvas with the SX60's unparalleled
color control. An easy-to-use Graphical User Interface lets you
adjust your palette of colors to paint the picture you want for
your audience.
With
Memory/Vivid Color Correction, you can adjust the degree of
vividness of each of the primary colors (red, green, blue) and
each of the secondary colors (cyan, magenta, yellow). Choose
between low, medium and high to project the image the way you
remember it.
What's more,
the projector's 6 Axes Color Adjustment lets you fine-tune the hue
and saturation of each of the primary and secondary colors. This
high degree of control makes each projected image a masterpiece.
