Omega One 480P Line Doubler

omega-1.jpg (5248 bytes)

"I have not seen video mode deinterlacing this clean since the Faroudja DVP3000. The Omega One is highly recommended...."
-Stacy Spears, Secrets of Home Theater & High Fidelity (Read the Review)

Videon Central is an unknown company in the consumer world, but they are very well known in the design/manufacturing circle and have brought about many products that do not bear their name.  The Omega One is the exception.  Based on a processing technology well known in the industry (and I'm sorry to say that I cannot disclose this information), the Omega One offers multiple inputs and a user controllable interface for a simple integration when a better line doubler is called for.   The Omega One's motion-adapative cross color suppression and motion-adaptive de-interlacing renders video quality far superior to any product currently available at its price point.

Key Features:

  • Generates 480p progressive scan video signal
  • 8 Video inputs handle all forms of video source
  • Front panel display with a large variety of menu options
  • Auto sense capability for input video selection
  • RS232 control interface
  • 480P output in either YPbPr or RGB

Adaptive 2/4-line NTSC/PAL comb filter

  • Offers increased luminance & chrominance bandwidth for all PAL and NTSC standards

  • Reduces cross-color & cross-luminance artifacts

    De-interlacing Motion-adaptive cross-color suppression.
Motion-adaptive de-interlacing selects optimal filtering on a per pixel basis
  • Film-mode for proper handling of 3:2 and 2:2 pulldown material
  • Bad edit detection/correction compensates for poor scene cuts and insertions common in broadcast material
  • Motion-weighted interpolation for video sources produces maximum resolution without introducing motion artifacts
