Video's SDI Solution - What is SDI?
SDI
(Serial Digital Interface) has been used in TV broadcasting station or
other video related industry for a long time. The advantage of
using SDI is to transmite digital video data for a very long distance
with extremely low error rate. SDI Converter DIY Kit converts the
decompressed DVD (MPEG2) data directly from the MPEG2 decoder inside a
DVD player to SDI signal. This signal is transmited through a BNC
cable and captured by a SDI capture card. The SDI data is
converted back to a standard digital video signal which Dscaler can
process. Dscaler produces a processive video playback and scales
it to the current resolution of the video card in a HTPC. So you
can have the highest quality movie enjoyment.
The SDI (Serial Digital
Interface) Capture Card is a standard PCI 2.1 input card,
which can capture standard SDI video signal for further
processing. Thanks to the SDI technology, picture quality
can be kept during data transmission for a long distance from a
SDI source to the SDI capture card. The combination of SDI
Capture Card and the DScaler software turns a personal computer
into a high performance digital video processor/scaler and
delivers unprecedented high quality video in home theaters at a
very reasonable price.
